Arsenal have apologised to Atletico Madrid after a hot water failure in the Emirates Stadium dressing rooms forced the Spanish side to return to their hotel for showers following their final training session on Monday.
Atletico Madrid, set to face Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday night, cut their training short after reporting the lack of hot water at 18:45 BST.
Arsenal confirmed both the visitor and home dressing rooms were affected.
Spanish paper Marca reported the Atletico squad was “angry” over the inconvenience.
Arsenal issued an apology as the European fixture approaches.
