Victor Wembanyama made NBA history last night, becoming the first player ever to reach 100 points and 15 blocks in the first three games of a regular season.
The 21-year-old French centre’s performance led the San Antonio Spurs to a 118-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets, maintaining the Spurs’ perfect start.
Wembanyama, who returned from shoulder surgery this season, finished the game with a dominant 31 points, 14 rebounds, and six blocks.
Although the Spurs nearly blew a 26-point lead—which the Nets cut to just seven—a strong 10-0 run in the fourth quarter secured the victory.
In other games, Austin Reaves exploded for a career-high 51 points as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 127-120, playing without LeBron James.
Also, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Toronto Raptors 139-129, with Anthony Davis contributing 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers saw off the Portland Trail Blazers 114-107, thanks to 30 points from Kawhi Leonard and 20 from James Harden.
And despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 40 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists, the Milwaukee Bucks fell 118-113 to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
