Uganda Cranes will face one of Africa’s toughest tests when they take on Morocco in an international friendly on November 18, 2025, at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.
The game will give Coach Paul Put’s side a valuable chance to measure their progress against Africa’s top-ranked team and 2022 World Cup semifinalists.
It also serves as an important warm-up for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, where Uganda will compete in Group C alongside Nigeria, Tanzania, and Tunisia.
Uganda, currently ranked 83rd in the FIFA World Rankings after dropping one spot from September, narrowly missed out on a historic World Cup qualification earlier this month. The upcoming fixture is seen as a key part of their preparation for a return to the continental stage.
Morocco, ranked 12th in the world and first in Africa, have already booked their ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will host the AFCON from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
The Atlas Lions will first play Mozambique on November 14 before facing the Cranes in Tangier.
Both teams are using these friendlies to fine-tune tactics and assess player readiness ahead of what promises to be a highly competitive AFCON.
