October could not have gone better for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Six games played, six wins recorded, 12 goals scored, and none conceded. They topped the Premier League, reached the Carabao Cup quarterfinals, and stayed unbeaten in the Champions League.

Arteta earned a nomination for Manager of the Month, while Jurrien Timber’s defensive consistency earned him a Player of the Month nod.

In those six games, Arsenal beat Olympiacos, West Ham, Fulham, Atletico Madrid, Crystal Palace, and Brighton, becoming the first top-flight English team ever to win six matches in a single month without conceding.

Their last defeat dates back to late August against Liverpool, a run of 11 competitive games unbeaten.

The Gunners arrive at Turf Moor with the league’s best defense, having conceded only three goals all season.

They have won four straight league matches and could extend that streak to five for the first time since August 2024.

Away from home, only Liverpool have beaten them in their last 18 league trips, while they have won 23 of their last 24 Premier League games against newly promoted sides.

For Burnley, signs of progress are finally showing after a difficult start. Scott Parker’s men have secured back-to-back wins over Leeds and Wolves, including a last-minute 2-1 victory at Molineux that lifted them five points clear of the relegation zone.

Another win would mark their first three-game winning streak in the top flight since April 2022. But facing Arsenal, who beat them 5-0 the last time they met at Turf Moor, presents a different level of challenge.

History offers little comfort for the Clarets. They have never beaten Arsenal at home in the Premier League, drawing three and losing six of their nine meetings.

In fact, they have never scored more than once in any of their 18 league encounters with the Gunners.

Zian Flemming will be Burnley’s main threat after netting twice against Wolves, while Leandro Trossard, who scored and assisted in both league meetings with Burnley in their last shared season, could be pivotal again for Arsenal.

Injuries remain a concern for both sides, with Lesley Ugochukwu and William Saliba doubtful.

Burnley’s home record against big-six opponents, coupled with Arsenal’s precision and balance, makes this fixture a real test of their revival. For Arsenal, it is about keeping the standards of October intact and reinforcing their grip at the top of the table.

Catch all the action live on NBS Sport, including expert studio analysis before, during, and after the match.
