Former SC Villa head coach Dusan Stojanovic has been unveiled as the new manager of Kenya Police FC.
The Serbian tactician joins the Kenyan champions at a time when both parties share similar recent success stories.
Stojanovic guided SC Villa to the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League title, ending the club’s 21-year wait for league glory – their first since the 2003/04 season.
Likewise, Kenya Police are fresh from securing their maiden Kenya Premier League (KPL) title, a landmark achievement under former coach Ettiene Ndayiragije of Burundi.
The partnership between Stojanovic and Police signals a clear intent: to build on recent triumphs and establish sustained dominance.
Stojanovic’s immediate mandate is to defend the KPL crown and ensure strong performances in domestic competitions, following the team’s early exit from the CAF Champions League at the qualification stage.
Currently, Kenya Police sit 17th in the 18-team league with five points from three matches, having four games in hand due to their continental engagements.
The Serbian’s tenure will officially begin with a tough home fixture against Gor Mahia on Thursday, November 6, a fitting test as he embarks on his new challenge with the reigning champions.
