Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is set to join the England squad for the final World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Serbia, replacing the injured Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace).
Although not yet officially confirmed, the call-up follows Guehi suffering a foot injury last week.
Chalobah, 26, is enjoying a strong season with Chelsea, who are already qualified for next summer’s World Cup.
He previously earned his debut in May under England manager Thomas Tuchel.
The squad is expected to see further changes, as Newcastle’s Anthony Gordon (hip) and Nick Pope (concussion) will also withdraw.
