Former world 100m silver medallist Marvin Bracy-Williams has received a 45-month ban for doping violations following an investigation triggered by a whistleblower.
The 31-year-old American sprinter, who took silver at the 2022 World Championships, tested positive for the anabolic agent testosterone and was provisionally suspended in February 2024.
The investigation, led by Usada, the AIU, and the DEA, found he initially tried to tamper with the process and breached “whereabouts rules.”
Bracy-Williams’ relay silver from the 2022 World Championships is affected, meaning Great Britain is set to be upgraded from 4x100m bronze to silver.
Usada confirmed Bracy-Williams later admitted his violations and provided “substantial assistance” to the ongoing, wider investigation into organized doping.
Bracy-Williams is the second sprinter from the 2022 USA 100m podium sweep to face anti-doping issues, following gold medallist Fred Kerley’s provisional suspension for whereabouts failures.
