Hoima City Stadium has been awarded a perfect five-star rating following an independent pitch inspection by ProPitch, the same international consultancy that assesses elite surfaces such as Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and UEFA tournament venues across Europe.
The assessment, carried out last week by ProPitch’s Aaron Cross rated both the main pitch and the adjoining training field at 115 out of 115 points, the highest possible score.
The evaluation covered three key categories: Playing Quality, Physical Quality, and Turf Quality, all meeting international benchmarks.
ProPitch’s endorsement places Hoima among elite venues globally.
The firm has worked on several high-profile projects, including pitch assessments at Tottenham Hotspur’s state-of-the-art stadium and training complex, all 10 venues of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, and major arenas in Scotland and New Zealand.
The recognition strengthens Uganda’s credentials to host international matches and tournaments, as Hoima City Stadium awaits final certification from CAF and FIFA before its official handover to the government.
