Robert Lewandowski, the 37-year-old FC Barcelona striker, has confirmed he is preparing to make a decision about his future as his contract is set to expire in June.
In an interview with TVP Sport, the Polish star, who has scored 108 goals for the club since 2022, acknowledged his career is nearing its end.
“I’ll soon be ready to decide which path I want to take and I’ll see what my options are,” Lewandowski stated, emphasizing he is calm and in no hurry.
He revealed that the young players at Barcelona, like Lamine Yamal, provide him with a “real boost of energy” and motivate him.
He also stressed his desire to maximize the emotional and sporting enjoyment of his remaining years in football.
Despite recent rumors of a departure, Lewandowski’s agent has dismissed immediate exit talk, but the striker’s comments confirm a final decision is imminent.
