World number one Carlos Alcaraz will face reigning champion Jannik Sinner in the ATP Finals final in Turin on Sunday, setting up the sixth showdown between the fierce rivals this season.
The match marks a fitting finale to a 2025 tour where Alcaraz (22) and Sinner (24) have dominated, winning all four Grand Slams and 13 combined titles.
They have settled five finals between them this year, including Alcaraz’s wins at the US Open and Roland Garros, and Sinner’s triumph at Wimbledon. The winner will claim over $5 million.
Both players advanced in straight sets on Saturday.
Alcaraz defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-2, 6-4 to reach his first Turin final.
Sinner overcame Alex de Minaur 7-5, 6-2, extending his unbeaten indoor hard court run to 30 matches.
Alcaraz, who holds a 10-5 overall head-to-head lead, joked about the rivalry, saying, “It’s great facing Jannik. [But] if it was someone else, I wouldn’t mind!”
He added he expects an atmosphere “almost like the Davis Cup,” with the Italian crowd heavily supporting Sinner.
