Ferrari star Lewis Hamilton used the São Paulo Grand Prix weekend to fiercely defend Formula 1’s rising stars (including Kimi Antonelli, Oliver Bearman, and Liam Lawson) against “needless negativity.”
Reflecting on his own 2007 debut, Hamilton stated that today’s apprentices face immense pressure from complex cars, media bombardment, and relentless social media scrutiny.
The most pointed criticism was aimed at the critics themselves, whom Hamilton declared are “older drivers that more often than not didn’t achieve much.”
He vowed to always support the youth, praising Alpine’s Franco Colapinto, who he called a “genuinely nice human being” doing an “amazing” job.
