KOSA League Set For A Grand Finale In March

Kibuli Secondary School Alumni league The KOSA League is set for a  finale on Sunday, March 10, 2023, at Kibuli Secondary School, marking a return to the very grounds where the league’s journey began. The  season, which kicked off on September 17, 2023, has seen the league unfold on a bi-weekly basis over seven months, showcasing the talent and spirit of alumni from Kibuli Secondary School. With 13 teams participating, representing clusters from the years 1998 to 2019, the league has once again scored to keep the enduring sporting legacy and brotherhood of Kibuli alumni alive.

Former and recent stars born from the school, including Stephen Veron Bikamata, Dan Walusimbi, Rahmat Ssenfuka, Daniel Isiagi, and Ivan Bukenya, have elevated the level of competition to new heights. Despite a challenging season for the defending champions, Legends FC, it’s the Showtymers (KOSA 06) who have dominated the league. Their remarkable performance, inspired by Ahmed Mabirizi (Mabzi) and out-of-cluster signing Martin Otwao – both hotshots for the MVP and top scorer awards – secured them their first KOSA League title, making them the third team to win the championship after Legends and Sasi. The Showtymers’ campaign, marked by resilience and skill, culminated in a decisive 1-0 victory over Nugu FC, sealing their title on the penultimate day of the league.

As we look forward to the finale and beyond, our optimism for the league’s growth and impact is stronger than ever. We are grateful for the partners who have joined us and made this season a success.” “As we conclude this season, we’re already looking forward to making the next one even more enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved.”

The league finale promises to be a spectacle of talent, nostalgia, and sportsmanship as the Showtymers aim to finish their incredible season invincible against the formidable 4z Tazz FC. Fans and alumni are invited to witness the culmination of a season filled with memorable moments and to celebrate the champions of the KOSA League’s third season.”
