Kenyan golfer Erick Miller claimed the headline result at the 2025 KCB Kenya Golf Day after posting 47 points to win the overall men’s title at Uganda Golf Club.
Miller, a former volleyball player who only picked up golf a year ago, delivered one of the tournament’s biggest surprises as he outplayed a strong regional field to secure the top prize.
Joyce Kisembo of Tooro Golf Club continued her impressive season by taking the overall women’s crown with 40 points.
Playing off handicap 6.2, she praised the state of the course and marked the victory as her fourteenth trophy of 2025. She also confirmed that her next major target is the 2026 Uganda Open.
The event, staged in the buildup to Kenya’s Jamhuri Day, closed on a lively note with strong participation and a clear message on regional sports cooperation.
Kenya High Commission Minister Counsellor Wario K Guyo, representing High Commissioner Joash Arthur Maangi, highlighted the tournament’s value in strengthening ties between the two nations.
