Jude Bellingham scored and assisted a goal as Real Madrid fought back twice to secure a 2-2 draw against Elche on Sunday, a result which sees them reclaim the top spot in La Liga.
The England midfielder netted in the 87th minute, firing home Kylian Mbappé’s cut-back, just minutes after Elche’s Alvaro Rodriguez had restored the home side’s lead (84′).
Elche had initially taken the lead through Aleix Febas (53′). Real Madrid had levelled for the first time when Dean Huijsen converted Bellingham’s knockdown (78′).
The result puts Xabi Alonso’s side above rivals Barcelona. Elche finished the game with 10 men after defender Victor Chust was sent off in added time.
