Kamulindwa David clinched the 2025 Equity NARO Golf Open title after closing with a 68 to finish tied at the top with Grace Kasango, winning the event on countback at the Mary Louise Simkins Memorial Golf Club in Namulonge.
The two matched each other shot for shot across the final round, both returning 68 to lock the winning score. Kamulindwa took the trophy after holding the stronger back nine, edging a contest that stayed close from the opening tee.
Opio Silver completed his week in third place after a 69, just one shot behind the leaders. He remained in contention throughout the tournament but could not find enough late momentum to force a tie at the top.
Hussein Bagalana and Marvin Kibirige followed on 70, while Jjingo Tom settled for sixth with a 71. National star Ronald Otile finished seventh after a 72, rounding out a consistent but unspectacular showing.
Further down the board, Rodel Gaita posted 73, Herman Mutawe signed for 74, and Abbey Bagalana finished on 75. The group behind them included Ainamani Abraham at 76 and Emma Ogwang at 77.
The final day produced notable shifts, with a cluster of players tying on 78. That group featured Ibrahim Ssemakula, Fred Nkuranga and Mutebi Herman Deco. Veteran Deo Akope closed on 79 alongside Kabise Canary and Koto James, while Philip Kasozi and Baguma Richard returned 80 and 81 respectively. Matovu Bulhan rounded out the board with 82.
This year’s edition delivered a competitive finish fitting for an event held during Equity Bank’s celebration of seventeen years in Uganda, with the final round producing steady scoring and a tense battle at the top.
