Manchester United secured a rare 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park on Sunday, ending their poor run at the venue and moving back into the Premier League’s top six.
Crystal Palace took a 1-0 lead into half-time after Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a twice-taken penalty in the 36th minute—the first use of a new Premier League rule on double-touch spot-kicks.
However, Ruben Amorim’s side rallied dramatically in the second half.
Joshua Zirkzee, repaying the manager’s faith, leveled the score in the 54th minute with a powerful drive—his first league goal in a year.
The winner arrived in the 63rd minute when Mason Mount drove home a quick pass from Captain Bruno Fernandes, completing the turnaround.
The win breaks United’s three-game winless streak, while Palace missed the chance to climb into the top four.
