Uganda has officially flagged off an eighteen member contingent to the fourth African Youth Games in Angola, which run from December 10 to 20.
The delegation includes thirteen athletes and five officials.
Team Uganda will compete in athletics, three by three basketball, swimming, breakdance and table tennis.
Competition will be spread across top venues, with athletics at the Jose Syozo Paralympic Complex in Bengo Province, three by three basketball and breakdance at Marginal De Luanda, swimming at Piscina Do Alvalade, and table tennis at the Complexo Tony De Jesus.
Although the group will travel in separate batches, confidence in camp remains high.
Breaker Ntulume said, “My target as an athlete is to qualify for the Youth Breaking Championship in Senegal next year.”
Swimmer Suubi added, “I want to come back with a medal and a new national record.”
With clear goals and growing belief, Team Uganda heads to Angola ready to compete and carry the national flag with pride.
