CAF organized a vital preparation course for all match officials ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 (21 December 2025 – 18 January 2026).
Held in Cairo, Egypt, the session brought together referees, assistant referees, VAR officials, and instructors under the CAF Referees Committee.
The intensive training program focused on physical testing, video analysis and simulation workshops to ensure consistency in decision-making and on-field communication and advanced training on the use of VAR technologies according to the latest CAF and FIFA guidelines.
This course underscores CAF’s commitment to promoting excellence and credibility in African refereeing, which is crucial for the success of the Morocco 2025 tournament.
