Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey is banking on Nigeria’s squad depth to overcome Tunisia in tonight’s high-stakes AFCON Group C clash at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.
The Fulham star acknowledged the challenge posed by the Carthage Eagles, who enter the match following a dominant 3–1 win over Uganda.
However, the fixture carries an extra edge for Nigeria, who are looking to avenge their 1–0 exit at the hands of Tunisia during the 2021 tournament.
“Tunisia is a good team… but we have enough quality to win it,” Bassey stated ahead of the 9:00 PM (VAT) kickoff.
With both teams fighting for a spot in the knockout rounds, tonight’s showdown in Fès is set to be a decisive moment in Group C.
