World number one Aryna Sabalenka clinched her third Brisbane International title on Sunday, defeating Marta Kostyuk 6-4, 6-3.
The Belarusian did not drop a set all week, clinical preparation for her upcoming Australian Open campaign.
While Sabalenka celebrated her 22nd career title, an emotional Kostyuk used the trophy ceremony to highlight the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, describing the “pain in her heart” as her family endures freezing temperatures without power or water.

• Men’s Singles: Top seed Daniil Medvedev beat Brandon Nakashima 6-2, 7-6 to claim his 22nd ATP title.
• Wheelchair Singles: Britain’s Alfie Hewett secured the title with a swift 6-1, 6-3 win over Martin de la Puente.
