The CAF inspection team is set to visit venues in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania that were proposed to host the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The inspection team will start with Uganda this Wednesday and Thursday before heading to Kenya, Zanzibar and Tanzania. On Wednesday, the team will visit Namboole stadium, Makerere university business school grounds and Sheraton hotel where they will have dinner.
On Thursday, the team will visit MTN Oondi stadium in Lugogo, Nakivubo stadium, Kadiba sports center, Muteesa IIstadium in Wankulukuku, Hotel Horizon in Entebbe before departure. The inspection report will guide CAF on the final decision that will lead to the award of CHAN 2024 hosting rights.
The CHAN tournament will act as a preparation tournament for the Pamoja AFCON tournament 2027 that will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
