The Uganda U20 women’s national team, the Queen Cranes, are now in residential camp as preparations intensify for their 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Zambia.
Head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes summoned a 32 player squad that reported on Saturday morning at FUFA House in Mengo before traveling to the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru. The camp is part of Uganda’s build up to the two legged qualifier against Zambia.
Uganda will host the first leg on 7 February at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, before traveling for the return fixture in Zambia on 14 February. The winner on aggregate will advance to the next round of the qualifiers.
Botes and her technical team will use the current camp to assess fitness levels, build tactical cohesion, and prepare the squad for what is expected to be a demanding contest against a physically strong Zambian side.
