Interim boss Michael Carrick has refused to rule out deadline-day signings as Manchester United enters the final 48 hours of the January window.
Following the departure of Ruben Amorim—who was reportedly frustrated by the club’s failure to land £65m target Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth—Carrick remains “calm” but alert to opportunities.
With utility man Patrick Dorgu sidelined for weeks and links to Al-Hilal’s Ruben Neves persisting, a late move remains possible.
“Never say never,” Carrick said ahead of Sunday’s clash with Fulham. “A lot can happen… situations can be thrown up.”
Despite recent wins over Arsenal and Man City, United must overcome a poor home record against bottom-half teams to stay in the top four.
Carrick warned against complacency against Marco Silva’s in-form side: “Taking anything for granted is bang out of order.”
