Lugazi are pursuing free agent goalkeeper Senyonga Bushir as they look to strengthen their squad following Juma Mutebi’s imminent move to NEC FC.
The Uganda Premier League side currently sit 11th on the table with 15 points from 15 matches and are keen to reinforce their goalkeeping department as the season progresses.
Senyonga has been identified as a direct replacement for Mutebi, who recently completed his switch to NEC.
Senyonga is coming off a strong spell with Buweekula, where he started six games and played a key role in guiding the team to their maiden Buganda Masaza Cup title. His performances in the competition elevated his profile and put him on the radar of top flight clubs.
The experienced goalkeeper has previously featured for Kyagwe, Busiro, and Buweekula. He is known for his long distribution, sharp shot stopping, command in one on one situations, and strong game reading. Penalty saving has also been a notable part of his skill set.
With his experience and availability as a free agent, Lugazi believe Senyonga would provide stability and competition in goal as they aim to climb the league table in the second half of the season.
