The DR Congo national team is launching an ambitious recruitment drive to secure high-profile “binational” players ahead of the decisive March international break.
Following a report by Foot Mercato, the Leopards are targeting several France youth internationals to bolster their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup inter-confederation play-offs.
Midfielder Warren Bondo (AC Milan/Cremonese) and defender Willy Kambwala (Villarreal) have reportedly agreed to join the setup.
The federation is actively working to convince Nottingham Forest duo Dilane Bakwa and Arnaud Kalimuendo (on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt) to switch allegiances.
Other names on the radar include Bradley Locko (Brest), Antoni Milambo (Brentford), and Samuel Mbangula (Werder Bremen).
After defeating Nigeria in the African play-offs, DR Congo sits just one match away from their first World Cup since 1974.
They will face either Jamaica or New Caledonia on March 31 in Mexico, with a victory securing a historic spot in the 48-team tournament.
