Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have secured striker Henry Kitegenyi, completing their business in the current transfer window.
Kitegenyi is the club’s sixth signing, joining Abonga Dominic, Barasa Julius, Opaala Edrine, Akol Eric Junior and Walaga Mike as part of the squad rebuild.
Known for his eye for goal, intelligent movement and physical presence in the final third, the striker arrives with experience and a reputation as a dependable finisher. His signing boosts the Gorillas’ attacking options as they pursue their targets this season.
Kitegenyi has previously featured for six time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC and Plascon FC, giving him exposure to top level competition.
He will wear the number 9 shirt and links up with the squad immediately, with attention turning to Sunday’s clash against Ntugasaze FC in the capital.
After signing, Kitegenyi said:
“I am happy to join this team, a very unique team with big ambitions and I am very happy to be part of the stories that are about to be written. I am going to give my best to accomplish the target. Thank you to everyone that made this deal happen.”
The club has welcomed him and expressed confidence that he will make a strong impact.
