Student boxer Nerrick Bulabe Tumusiime has signed a two year professional contract with Nara Promotionz, marking his transition from the amateur scene into the professional boxing ranks.
Bulabe, known for his powerful punching, earned recognition through the Uganda Boxing Champions League, a competition broadcast on NBS Sport and Afromobile.
The platform has helped several amateur fighters gain exposure, with Bulabe now becoming one of the latest prospects to take the step into professional boxing.
The young fighter is scheduled to make his professional debut against Frank Ngobi in a super welterweight undercard bout on April 4 at Club Obligato.
The fight will be part of a packed card featuring 14 bouts across multiple weight divisions. The night’s main contests include middleweight, super middleweight, welterweight, super lightweight, heavyweight, featherweight and super bantamweight fights.
One of the headline matchups on the card will see Ken Lukyamuzi face Gerald Musoolo in an eight round middleweight contest.
Organisers launched the full fight card on Thursday, outlining a schedule designed to draw boxing fans with a mix of experienced fighters and emerging prospects such as Bulabe making their first appearance in the professional arena.
All fighters on the card will attend the official weigh in on April 3 at Club Obligato, a day before the fight night.
