Athletics South Africa has confirmed an eight-member squad for the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland (20–22 March).
The team features seven men and one woman, with rising sprint star Karabo Letebele (men’s 60m) leading the track lineup after clocking 6.53 seconds last month—just shy of Morne Nagel’s national record. Luan Munnik (3000m) and hurdlers Franco le Roux and Mondray Barnard add depth on the track.
In the field, former world indoor silver medallist Luvo Manyonga returns in the long jump alongside teenager Temoso Masikane, while Aiden Smith competes in the shot put. The sole female representative, Miné de Klerk, arrives in top form after setting a new SA record of 18.48m in Indiana.
Final Team: Letebele, Munnik, le Roux, Barnard, Manyonga, Masikane, Smith, de Klerk.
