Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the Miami Open with a right shoulder injury, organisers confirmed Sunday.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion, who reached the fourth round at Indian Wells in his first event since the Australian Open final, had been playing with a compression sleeve and admitted his forearm was affecting his serve.
Djokovic, 38, is a six-time Miami champion but will miss the second leg of the “Sunshine Double,” leaving the field open for Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Carlos Alcaraz to seize momentum.
