Fans Steal the Show at Guinness Matchday On Tour in Kira

Football passion was on full display as the Guinness Matchday On Tour made its debut stop in Kira on Sunday, drawing hundreds of fans to BBQ Fusion for a lively celebration of the beautiful game.

The Guinness matchday truck rolled into town for the first time, transforming the venue into a hub of football, music, and entertainment. With live screenings, DJ sets, and interactive fan activations, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish.

Manchester United supporters stole the spotlight after their team’s emphatic 3-1 victory over Aston Villa at Old Trafford. Casemiro’s opener, followed by late goals from Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, sealed Michael Carrick’s seventh win in nine matches as interim manager, lifting United to third in the Premier League standings.

The final whistle in Kira sparked jubilant scenes. Fans erupted into chants of “Glory Glory Man United” as DJs blasted the anthem, Guinness bottles raised high in celebration. “It finally feels like the good days are coming back,” said Jeff, a Red Devils fan. Another supporter added: “Carrick has really changed things. Seven wins in nine games is not a joke. If we keep playing like this, the Champions League is coming back to Old Trafford.”

The excitement wasn’t limited to football. Fans engaged in the Matchday Minutes activation, predicting key match moments to win Guinness merchandise. Viral sensation Elijah Kitaka also lit up the stage with his hit Daily Bundle, adding a cultural flair to the evening.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham Hotspur, with Richarlison’s late strike cancelling out Dominik Szoboszlai’s early free-kick.

Guinness Brand Manager Denise Nazzinda emphasized the initiative’s focus on fans: “Guinness Matchday On Tour is all about the fans. That’s why we bring these experiences closer to them, so they can watch the games together, celebrate their teams, and enjoy the passion that football brings.”

Following the vibrant Kira edition, the Guinness Matchday On Tour will head to Masaka on April 19, promising another unforgettable fan experience.
