The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) has announced the postponement of National Basketball League fixtures that were scheduled for Wednesday, 18th March 2026, at Jaguars Den in Kira.
The decision follows the passing of the father of JT Lady Jaguars player, Rhoda Nagitta.
As a mark of respect, the competitions council confirmed that the women’s clash between JT Lady Jaguars and Angels, as well as the men’s encounter between JT Jaguars and Rezlife Saints, originally set for 7pm and 9pm respectively, will be rescheduled.
In a statement dated 18th March 2026, FUBA extended its condolences to Nagitta, her family, and loved ones, noting that new dates for the affected fixtures will be communicated in due course.
Importantly, the federation emphasized that all other games at different venues will continue as planned.
Fans can look forward to Game Week Seven action at Lugogo Indoor Arena and YMCA Wandegeya, where fixtures include KIU Rangers vs Magic Stormers and Nam Blazers vs KCCA Panthers at Lugogo, alongside Victoria She Crocs vs Pearl Queens and Kampala Rockets vs UPDF Tomahawks at YMCA.
“The Federation and the National Basketball extend their deepest condolences to Rhoda, her family and loved ones. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement read.
