Senegal will play at this summer’s World Cup with only one star on its jersey, despite winning a second Africa Cup of Nations in January.
The federation says kit supplier Puma had already begun production before the victory, making changes impossible until September.
The issue comes as CAF controversially stripped Senegal of its latest AFCON crown, awarding Morocco a default win after ruling the Teranga Lions left the pitch without referee approval.
Senegal has vowed to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, while its government denounced the decision as “illegal and unjust.”
For now, fans must wait for the second star — and for clarity on whether their team’s triumph will stand.
