RS Berkane struck in the 93rd minute to edge Al-Hilal 1-0 and secure a 2-1 aggregate victory, booking their first-ever CAF Champions League semi-final berth.
The quarter-final clash at Amahoro Stadium was tense and cagey, with few chances until VAR drama in the second half.
Al-Hilal thought they had scored, but the goal was overturned and Berkane awarded a penalty.
Munir Chouiar missed from the spot, but redeemed himself in stoppage time, firing home Zinedine Machach’s pass to seal the win.
The result guarantees Morocco a finalist, with Berkane set to face compatriots FAR Rabat in the last four.
For Al-Hilal, it was a bitter exit after coming within minutes of progression.
