Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku will miss upcoming World Cup warm-ups in Atlanta and Chicago after pulling out of the squad to focus on fitness.
The 32-year-old, Belgium’s all-time top scorer with 89 goals in 124 caps, has struggled with injuries at Napoli this season.
His last international appearance came in June, when he scored in a 4-3 win over Wales.
The Belgian FA said Lukaku “prefers to train in the coming period” as he works toward peak readiness for the World Cup.
