A clay court will be installed at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium to host training sessions for ATP and WTA players during the Madrid Open, organisers announced on Friday.
The court will be available April 23–30, when Los Blancos have no home fixtures.
The move highlights the stadium’s versatility after recent renovations, which have already seen it stage an NFL game and face restrictions on concerts due to noise complaints.
The Madrid Open runs April 20–May 3 at its main venue, the Caja Mágica.
