The Federation of Uganda Football Associations turned to one of its own in appointing Sheba Ampaire Ronah as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, a role she takes up on April 1, 2026.
Ampaire is a lawyer by training and a football administrator by experience, having built her profile within FUFA since joining the federation in 2021.
She has served as Legal Officer, where she handled judicial processes, ensured compliance with statutory requirements and guided the federation through regulatory frameworks tied to international football governance.
Her work in that role placed her at the centre of FUFA’s legal and governance systems, contributing to efforts aimed at improving accountability, consistency and integrity across its operations. That background now forms the foundation of her elevation into senior management.
Academically, Ampaire holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Laws and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
She has also pursued specialised training in football administration, earning the FIFA Professional Club Management Certification and completing the FAMACO 3 programme.
Within FUFA’s structure, her new role will see her deputise the Chief Executive Officer, with a focus on administration, member relations and organisational development.
Ampaire’s rise reflects a steady progression through the ranks, moving from legal counsel to one of the key figures expected to shape the direction of football administration in Uganda.
