Marco Bezzecchi stormed to his fifth consecutive MotoGP victory at the United States Grand Prix, leading all 20 laps at the Circuit of the Americas.
The Aprilia rider crossed 2.036 seconds ahead of teammate Jorge Martin, with Pedro Acosta completing the podium.
The win restores Bezzecchi’s lead in the standings with 81 points, four clear of Martin.
It also places him among legends Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini as the only Italians to win five in a row, and the first rider since Marc Marquez in 2014 to open a season with three straight grands prix wins.
“This is amazing… I wasn’t expecting a race like this after yesterday,” Bezzecchi said, reflecting on his sprint crash.
Fabio Di Giannantonio finished fourth, while defending Austin champion Francesco Bagnaia struggled to 10th.
