Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos is calling for a repeat of the “mentality and discipline” shown by his side when they face Panama in their second World Cup warm-up at DHL Stadium on Tuesday.
Despite a winless outing in Durban last Friday, Broos was encouraged by his team’s shift in attitude following a disappointing AFCON campaign.
With a fully fit 23-man squad, the Belgian tactician confirmed he will rotate his lineup for the Cape Town clash.
Broos highlighted Panama as the ideal surrogate for World Cup opponents Mexico. “The style they play is different than the African teams we’ve played in past years,” he noted.
The coach revealed that 70-75% of his World Cup squad is already decided, regardless of tomorrow’s result.
After a tense post-AFCON period, Broos praised the returning fans and expects a “full house” at DHL Stadium.
