The 2026 National Basketball League Uganda first round edges closer to its conclusion tonight with six fixtures lined up across three venues, headlined by two live televised games at Lugogo Indoor Arena.
At 7pm, UCU Lady Canons return to action against Nabisunsa Girls live on NBS Sport 2 via AfroMobile. UCU will be seeking redemption after their first defeat of the season — a narrow 55-51 loss to JT Lady Jaguars that ended their eight-game unbeaten run.
Despite the setback, they remain favourites against a struggling Nabisunsa side, who have managed just one win in nine outings. Key players Keturah Joy Auma and Abigail Mpoza will be tasked with sparking an upset.
Later at 9pm, the spotlight shifts to the men’s clash between Kampala Rockets and defending champions Namuwongo Blazers, broadcast live on NBS Sport.
The Blazers are in formidable form, riding a seven-game winning streak since their opening-day loss to City Oilers.
Their dominance has been highlighted by emphatic wins over Rezlife Saints (73-56) and UPDF Tomahawks (106-68). In contrast, Rockets sit bottom of the table with just two wins from nine games, entering the tie on a three-game losing streak.
Elsewhere, action continues at YMCA Wandegeya with KIU Rangers vs JKL Lady Dolphins and KCCA Panthers vs Victoria Crocs, while at Rezlife Lubowa, Magic Stormers meet Miracle Eaglets before Rezlife Saints host JKL Dolphins.
The NBL continues on Good Friday, April 3, with five fixtures at Lugogo Indoor Arena, three of which will be broadcast live, before concluding on Sunday, April 12, after games on Wednesday and Friday.
