Morocco extended their unbeaten run at the UNAF qualifiers for the TotalEnergies CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, edging Egypt 2-1 in Benghazi.
Rami Loukmani struck first, Egypt’s Alaa Adel equalized, but Adnane Boujouffi sealed the win late on to keep Morocco top with nine points from three matches.
At the Martyrs of Benina Stadium, Tunisia claimed their first victory, overturning Libya’s early lead to win 2-1 through goals from Othmane Ben Hssine and Mohamed Moncef Thabti. Yahya Jelidi earned Man of the Match honors.
Morocco, already qualified as hosts, lead the table. Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia are level on three points, while Libya remain winless.
The top two sides, excluding Morocco, will join the continental finals later this month in Morocco, where the best 10 teams will advance to the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
