Football fever is set to grip Masaka as Guinness Matchday on Tour rolls into town for a Super Sunday spectacle on April 19, 2026. The Masaka Sports Club will be transformed into a Premier League theatre, offering fans an electrifying mix of football, music, and entertainment.
At the heart of the experience will be the Guinness Matchday Truck, turning the venue into a stadium-like hub where supporters can catch all the action on giant screens. The headline fixture is a blockbuster clash between Manchester City and Arsenal, a potential title decider.
Arsenal, chasing their first Premier League crown in over two decades, will be desperate to end their long wait, while Pep Guardiola’s City aim to tighten their grip on the title race. The stakes are even higher following their recent Carabao Cup Final meeting, where City triumphed.
Beyond the marquee match, fans will enjoy a full Super Sunday lineup, interactive activities, and prize giveaways through matchday minutes. Music and entertainment will keep the energy high, with Afro beats and dancehall star Ava Peace headlining, supported by DJs Woodgate, Brattah, and Andy DJ.
For those unable to attend in Masaka, Guinness Matchdays will also be activated nationwide at venues including The Villa Bukoto and Supremacy Lounge Nakulabye in Kampala, D’Ajango Hoima, D Plus Gulu, and D Plus Kitgum, ensuring fans across Uganda can join the celebration.
Denise Paula Nazzinda, Guinness Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, said the Masaka stop will raise the bar for the tour:
“Everywhere we’ve gone, fans have turned up in big numbers. It shows how much they have embraced the Guinness Matchday on Tour, and we are delighted to continue bringing them these unforgettable experiences. We call upon everyone in Masaka City to come to Masaka Sports Club on April 19, bring your friends, and let’s enjoy the beautiful game together.”
Fans can also look forward to enjoying Guinness at special prices throughout the day, making this Super Sunday one to remember.
