Manny Pacquiao says his September clash with Floyd Mayweather at the Sphere in Las Vegas will be a professional bout, not an exhibition.
“He signed for a real match. The contract that we signed is for a real fight,” Pacquiao told local media.
Mayweather recently suggested the event was an exhibition, but Jas Mathur, CEO of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, confirmed all contracts were for a fight.
The rematch, streaming globally on Netflix, comes 11 years after Mayweather’s victory in their record-breaking 2015 “Fight of the Century.”
