Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says the League Cup final loss to Manchester City should “fuel” his side’s push for silverware.
The Gunners, nine points clear in the Premier League, face Southampton in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Saturday before a Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon.
“We have to use it as tools for the final push,” Arteta said, insisting the Wembley setback will sharpen focus for the “most important and beautiful part of the season.”
Injury withdrawals during the international break—among them Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Noni Madueke—sparked criticism, but Arteta stressed decisions were medical. Madueke, who left Wembley with a knee brace, is expected back soon.
Arsenal’s six-year trophy wait could end if they turn disappointment into drive across three competitions.
