Rookie Cooper Flagg scored 45 points with nine assists and eight rebounds to lead Dallas past the Lakers 134-128.
The 19-year-old followed up his record 51-point game with another explosive performance, becoming the first rookie since Allen Iverson in 1997 to post consecutive 40-point outings.
LeBron James had 30 points and 15 assists for the Lakers, but JJ Redick’s side struggled defensively and remain third in the West.
Dallas, 12th, are out of playoff contention, though Flagg is now a clear Rookie of the Year frontrunner.
