CAF president Patrice Motsepe said he would welcome investigations into corruption at African football’s governing body, insisting the organisation will give “full cooperation” to any inquiry.
Speaking after meeting Senegalese officials in Dakar, Motsepe stressed zero tolerance for corruption:
“We cannot give our children the perception that if you want to succeed in life, be corrupt. There has to be zero tolerance.”
The comments come amid Senegal’s demand for a probe after their 2025 AFCON title was stripped and awarded to Morocco.
Motsepe declined to discuss the case further, citing its ongoing review at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
