Prize money at Roland-Garros will rise 9.5 per cent this year to €61.7 million, organisers confirmed, with equal pay maintained for men and women.
The Paris major will also trial wearable performance-tracking devices, a first for a Grand Slam.
Ceremonies will honour retiring players, including Caroline Garcia on 4 June, Gael Monfils at his Gael and Friends charity event on 21 May, and 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka during his final appearance.
