Antoine Griezmann says he is soaking up every moment of his farewell season at Atletico Madrid as he prepares for Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
The 35‑year‑old forward, Atletico’s all‑time top scorer, will join MLS side Orlando City at the end of the campaign. He hopes to sign off with silverware, having already helped Atletico reach the Champions League semi‑finals.
“I’m soaking it all in, enjoying it a lot… it’s a huge joy, a source of pride,” said Griezmann, who began his Spanish career at Sociedad.
Coach Diego Simeone urged focus after the Barcelona triumph, confirming Pablo Barrios returns from injury: “We’re back down to earth now, and we know the difficulties we’re going to face.”
Atletico chase a domestic trophy while eyeing a European final, with Griezmann determined to leave Madrid on a high.
