Marco Rose has agreed a three-year deal to become Bournemouth’s new manager when Andoni Iraola departs at the end of the season.
The 49-year-old German, out of work since leaving RB Leipzig in March 2025, was chosen ahead of Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna and Rayo Vallecano’s Inigo Perez.
Rose has never managed in England but brings Champions League experience and a record of developing stars such as Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.
Bournemouth, unbeaten in 13 and sitting eighth in the Premier League, hope Rose can guide them into Europe for the first time.
The club described the appointment as low-risk, with no compensation required, and believe his pedigree will help sustain their progress.
