Formula One will restart in Miami on 3 May with a longer Friday practice session.
The FIA confirmed drivers will get 90 minutes instead of the usual hour, citing the month-long break caused by race cancellations in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia due to the Iran war, as well as new safety rule tweaks.
Miami’s sprint format leaves only one practice before sprint qualifying, a 100km sprint on Saturday, and full qualifying for Sunday’s race.
Mercedes have swept the season so far, with teenager Kimi Antonelli leading the standings.
