Carlos Queiroz says leading Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be “the biggest challenge” of his career.
The veteran Portuguese coach, unveiled in Accra on Thursday, vowed to instil a winning mentality and build unity in the squad ahead of their opener against Panama on 17 June.
“Ghana expect nothing different than win, win, win,” Queiroz declared, stressing that no player owns the national team shirt – it must be earned.
With five World Cup appearances but inconsistent recent form, Queiroz promised hard work and a step‑by‑step approach, while also outlining a longer vision to turn Ghana into “a country of champions.”
